Step through Earth

Transmutation
Level: Earth 4, Ranger 4
Components: V
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Target: You
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
Spell Points: 7

You fall forwards on to the ground, but instead of hitting it, you fall through it and appear somewhere else.

You instantly transfer yourself from your current location to another spot within range. You always arrive at exactly the spot desired-whether by simply visualizing the area or by stating direction. However, both the destination square and the square from which you transfer yourself must contain earth or unworked stone, and a straight ”passage`` of such terrain must exist between the two squares. You could not, for example, transport yourself into or out of a box containing dirt, or a castle courtyard whose foundations and underlying dungeons have replaced the natural soil.

After using this spell, you can’t take any other actions until your next turn. You can bring along objects as long as their weight doesn’t exceed your maximum load.

If you arrive in a place that is already occupied by a solid body, the spell fails.

Augment: You can augment this spell in one or both of the following ways:

  1. If you spend an additional 6 spell points, you can cast this spell as a move action.

  2. If you spend an additional 6 spell points, you can act after casting this spell (provided you have actions to do so).
